ABOUT OUR GENERATION MUSIC

Encapsulating a signature sound and the culture that surrounds it, Our Generation Music embodies rising talent on the cutting edge of stardom. For over a half decade, OGM has been a force to be reckoned with in championing the next generation of trendsetters. Artists such as Yeat, Summrs, Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely and more were initial platform favorites early on in their respective careers, as OGM continues to break barriers with its inaugural Next Gen Tour.

ABOUT KANKAN

As a sauntering, ear-melting voice with uncanny bars and chart-topping production, Kankan is the epitome of a “do it yourself” artist. Inspired by Speaker Knockerz and rising from SoundCloud’s next generation, the Dallas native’s start as a producer was extremely fruitful — initially securing placements with Lil Pump and Famous Dex (“Talkin Shit”) as well as Smokepurpp (“F**k a Swisher”) at the height of their underground stardom in 2015-17. Since releasing EPs in ‘Oxy & Codeine’ and ‘##B4RR’ as well as his 2021 album ‘RR,’ Kankan has built quite the discography since he transitioned his talents to the booth. Continuing to develop his sound with rage-filled finesse, his latest album ‘WAY2GEEKED’ further displayed the breakout star’s ploy to evolve as an artist. The album embodies his artistry perfectly — brash, bold and unafraid to take risks. Expect this on stage this Fall.

ABOUT SUMMRS

Not only did “the biggest bird” turn things up a notch last year, Summrs‘ beloved album ‘Fallen Raven’ overwhelmingly reasserted why he’s a staple on the underground’s Mount Rushmore. The Louisiana rapper and former Slayworld member has soared to internet era stardom in recent years, yet 2022-23 has been his most defining run as an emcee. “Swing Ya Pole,” “Let da birds out” and other high-velocity cuts were cornerstones from ‘Fallen Raven’ — which has proved to be his most cohesive record to date. His independence is cause for celebration, as his grip on the underground continues to get tighter with every passing track. 2023 albums in ‘GHOST’ and ‘STUCK IN MY WAYS’ have only strengthened his cult fanbase in recent years. Make no mistake, Summrs is only heating up from here on out.

ABOUT F1LTHY

As part of Playboi Carti’s esteemed label Opium, F1LTHY’s name is all that’s needed to understand his prominence as a new wave icon. With eerily “filthy” beats and an ear that’s ahead of his time, the DJ-producer’s influence on the current wave of synth-heavy distortion and rock interpolations in Opium’s production cannot be overstated. As a right-hand to Playboi Carti – who has been slowly working towards a comeback with his long-teased album ‘MUSIC’ – the 30-year-old Philadelphia-born producer is an incubator for the next generation’s distinct soundscape. With this in mind, you can already hear his iconic tag “WAKE UP F1LTHY” blare through each venue on the Next Gen Tour.

ABOUT HIGHWAY

Highway’s sound is in all parts enigmatic, as his striking style can make a superfan out of any first-time listener. Captivating the game with his vibey melodic flows, gripping baritone and noticeably original production (much of which he co-produces himself), the 23-year-old artist’s very particular approach perfectly meets the growing demand for a hybrid sound that blurs the line between trap, R&B and the new wave. Fresh, genre-bending and still undeniably hip-hop, his self-titled LP, Livin Like That — which features a huge co-sign from Destroy Lonely — and new mixtape MONOCHROME are just the beginning for the Seattle native. Highway is speeding towards stardom in the fast lane — and for all the right reasons.

ABOUT OSAMASON

Fresh off his official debut album ‘Osama Season,’ 19-year-old phenom OsamaSon has admittedly taken the underground by storm. After his music recently appeared on streams hosted by BruceDropEmOff, the South Carolina native’s audience grew quite rapidly. However, OsamaSon has been steadily dropping music since 2021. Stemming from a string of EPS titled ‘I’m Da Man,’ ‘Vengeance & Carnival,’ ‘osamavrt,’ ‘slime’ and ‘Bad Habits’, the Charlotte talent’s official debut is an impressive first step into new wave notoriety. Fans were quick to compare him to co-signs such as Devstacks, Smokingskul and others who reside in the dark plugg-rage akin to Opium’s top dogs: Destroy Lonely and Ken Carson. Osama’s hit single “Troops” (June 2) and “cts-v” were catalysts to his rise in the underground — both of which being fiery, exuberant pit anthems made for the mosh. OsamaSon’s sound is all his own, championing an alt-aggressive vibe that feels not only recently nostalgic, but unquestionably of-the-moment.
