Brad Paisley and Nelly performs at Live Nation’s first ever U.S. drive-in concert series ‘Live From The Drive In’

This weekend, Live Nation launched their first ever U.S. drive-in concert series - Live From The Drive In - marking a highly anticipated return to live, in person events in a safe and socially distanced manner.  Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Nelly, Jon Pardi, El Monstero and Yacht Rock Revue kicked off the series with headlining performances across Nashville, St. Louis and Indianapolis over this past Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Brad Paisley headlined the live events in all three cities, playing some of his biggest hits including “Crushin’ It,” “Mud on the Tires,” “American Saturday Night,” and his latest single, “No I In Beer.” The superstar also surprised concert-goers with a special video duet with Carrie Underwood for their smash hit “Remind Me” and an opening comedy set from Kevin Nealon ahead of his performance in Nashville.

“Thank you for this weekend everyone. People stayed by their cars, rules were followed, and beer was drank. We will never take the chance to play music for granted.” - Brad Paisley via Instagram.

Darius Rucker headlined the final night of the weekend in Nashville, complete with a “Only Wanna Be With You” sing-a-long with the crowd. Jon Pardi brought the “party” to two cities, headlining in Nashville on Friday and Indianapolis on Saturday.

Nelly closed out the sold-out weekend in St. Louis with a hometown celebration of the 20th anniversary of his diamond-certified album Country Grammar.

The venues were turned inside out for the weekend, bringing the full concert experience to their parking lots. Fans drove right up to their own private tailgate space and enjoyed the live performances from outside of their cars. Concert-goers went all out to make the experience their own with vintage cars, yard games, chairs and plenty of food and drinks. The main focus this weekend was social distancing, and Live Nation worked closely with local officials and health experts to carefully plan all aspects, from the layout to sanitation and everything in between to ensure everyone’s safety.

“Live From The Drive In was the first, major return to live music, here in the U.S., with artists performing live in-person giving fans those amazing summer concert experiences they’ve been missing. Thank you to the artists, fans, crews and Live Nation teams for reminding the world that nothing replaces the energy and excitement of live music, we look forward to doing this again soon.” - Tom See, President of Live Nation Venues.

For fans who weren’t able to make it out to the first Live From The Drive In, Brad Paisley and Live Nation streamed the concert live from his Nashville performance on Saturday. The livestream has raked in an amazing 619,000 views so far and is still available to watch HERE.
