The nineties became an unparallel decade of music that has certainly burned a lifetime of a great impression throughout our minds as individuals who have loved and admired the genre of Pop Stars and all the glorious talent they have once possessed during their limelight that once made a house hold name for music fanatics.

Music in general has gone through numerous genre changes in the last few decades; we have often forgotten many boy bands, pop princesses, and music icons that sent our hearts into overdrive with musical melodies.
Jesse McCarthey

Out of the limelight for a number of years, Jesse McCartney has bounced back with not only a great new album full of great songs, but has also embarked on a sold out “ Resolution Tour “.
I can long remember attending some of the greatest Pop shows ever in the late Nineties into the two thousands and Jesse McCartney was among several break through artists that made a name for himself beyond his boy band days with “Dream Street”

When you hear rumors drifting through the grape vine about pop culture music artists that once ruled both the stage and MTV at one given time, you think to yourself how popular can someone still be after disappearing out of the limelight?

Well without pushing this show on say local TV and or Radio to make it a nearly a complete sell out, the line was from the doors pass the tour buses back stage and down the block, even in pouring rain nothing stopped admiring fans for a glimpse of the guy that still has that pop star charm with a gleaming smile that can light up an entire room by himself.

Not knowing what to expect out of this show, especially when you often forget about some of the musical artists that paved a wave in pop culture way back when pop music ruled radio, MTV, and sold out arena tours.

As the venue began to fill up pretty quickly, in the back of mind I was hoping to just have Jesse McCartney come on early and finish up right on time, but it never fails, I was subject to an opener Artist, some rising Teen girl, obviously making her way from YouTube, to the stage.

Let’s face it without social media, and places like YouTube, undiscovered talent goes to waste pretty quick if you grab one’s attention.

Was I paying any attention to her set, no not really I seem to be more interested in seeing the hype that Jesse had to offer since his earlier teen days and all his choreographed dance moves as a teen heart throb.

Jesse hit the stage shortly after nine to an almost sold show, while The Fillmore has a great balcony, glancing around pretty quick I don’t think there was an empty seat from side to side.
This was certainly a great show, loads of great songs a few I was familiar with but hearing the chorus’ lines being yelled back at McCartney every time he would point the microphone straight out into the crowd, a few thousands singing their hearts out to every hit song word for word.
While the bars were packed and the drinks flowing, this show was nothing short of greatness, featuring a few new songs from “The Resolution “among past hits from his career as a mega solo artist.

While Jesse McCartney still reigns the limelight much older now and more mature like, he still possess that pop star like charm with a resilient smile.

It truly was a great show, fast paced, exciting, and a set list full of hits, new favorites and acoustic songs never performed before which overall made it a great intimate show at the Philadelphia Fillmore
