NASHVILLE – In a tip to the hat to headliner and Aussie Keith Urban, an “Ultimate Australian Country Music Experience” is being given away as part of the Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville. Anyone who downloads the Nashville New Year’s Eve app from the App Store or Google Play is eligible to win. The app provides the most up-to-date information on the event, the music, official merchandise and everything else Music City Midnight has to offer.


The winner and a guest will get a seven-day stay in and around Brisbane, Australia from March 22 to March 28, 2017 during the CMC Rocks Queensland Festival and Awards, the biggest international country and roots festival in the Southern Hemisphere.

Those who enter must be at least 21. After you download the app, you must complete the registration form within the app. The winner does not have to be present at Music City Midnight.


Nashville’s New Year’s Eve event on Saturday, Dec. 31 will feature a Music Note Drop at midnight, headliner Keith Urban and a multi-genre concert lineup. This is the eighth annual celebration and the first at a new location at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

In addition to Urban, the event’s diverse lineup includes rock band Styx of “Come Sail Away” fame, indie-progressive band Moon Taxi, country acts A Thousand Horses and Charlie Worsham, and the Fisk Jubilee Singers. Sirius XM host Storme Warren will serve as emcee on stage. “Today In Nashville” host Kelly Sutton will be hosting from the crowd.


Nashville will be a featured location as part of CNN’s “New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin.” Correspondent Sara Sidner will be in Bicentennial Mall for a live interview and performance with Keith Urban.


WKRN-Channel 2 will live broadcast the Music Note Drop and “Auld Lang Syne” from about 11:50 p.m. to 12:07 a.m.
