Described as a modern day Stevie Nicks, with vocals drawing comparisons to Kate Bush, Joanna Newsom, and PJ Harvey, NYC-by-way-of-Michigan, artist Alex Winston is gearing up to release her sophomore LP, "This Ain't Luck" on November 10, 2015.
With love from major tastemakers like Fader, ASOS, Urban Outfitters and more from the blogosphere, Alex is keeping her fans satisfied - she released an exclusive teaser EP with three songs from the record. The EP includes tracks, "Day I Died", "Down Low" and "Dead End.
Alex's essence is a perfectly fitting contradiction -- she's a juxtaposition of classic and contemporary, poppy and edgy, and quirky, yet accessible.Classically trained as an opera singer and a self-taught guitarist, songwriter, and pianist, Winston signed to 300 Entertainment in 2014.
She dropped The Sister Wife EP in 2011 (Island Records), and her debut full-length album, King Con in 2012 (Island Records).
