Zombieland is an ass kicking, zombie killing movie. You will laugh, you will enjoy and you will watch this movie again and again. The genre of Zombie Movies started way back with the Night of the Living Dead and it has not gone away. When George Romero created this 1968 classic, who would have thought that it would still live today as the mother of all Zombie flicks. Low budget maybe, but it's timeless, being watched by Zombie fans for more than 4 decades. Night of the Living Dead is the cult movie of all cult movies.. Without Romero, there would not be Zombieland. Zombieland is no low budget flick, but it's just as fun to watch.
Zombieland starts out telling us how to survive a post-apocalyptic infected world of Zombies. If you want to live you have to follow rules. Four unlikely characters come together for a couple of things, searching for something they lost, put a family together in Zombieland, and Kick Mother F'ing Ass of all zombies in existence. Our zombie killers are equipped and have the brains to take on the world, so guess where they head, Hollywood. Movie stars, swimming pools, pimps, hookers (a bit of Andrew Dice Clay) and ZOMBIES. First our cast needs to get some rest so they grab a "Guide to the Stars Home" and head to the most unlikely household in Beverley Hills. Not just anyone's house but the star of stars, the icon of great films, I will simply leave you with what the estate gates read "B.M."
Zombieland is prize in your movie collection and I bet many weekend nights you will have it playing on the screen for good Zombie laughs for years to come.
