The third and hopefully final installment of The Lost Boys franchise promises the return of the Frog Brothers and while it is nice to see Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander reunited and fighting vampires again, the film is a complete mess and is embarrassing to watch.

The second Lost Boys film, The Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008) was bad but it wasn't "oh God, end this piece of shit" bad. However, The Lost Boys: The Thirst is that movie. Even from the silly opening filled with over the top comedy and cheap sets, I knew I was going to be in trouble.

Edgar Frog (Corey Feldman) is about to be thrown out of his trailer when he is offered a job to help a hot female author (based off of Stephenie Meyer) who believes her younger brother was kidnapped by vampires. Reluctantly, Edgar agrees and takes along with him Zoe, a spunky female comic book lover who is one of the most annoying characters in any horror film I have seen in awhile. Spouting off really lame one-liners and doing it with as much skill and comic timing as an 80 year old Amish man, the film really becomes unbearable. Edgar is also teamed up with a reality star actor and his camera man, hired by the author because...the film makers needed some extra kills. It doesn't matter, the plot is useless and bottom of the barrel moronic. It even rips off lines and scenes from The Unforgiven and Terminator 2 !

Don't expect any great or original action scenes or incredible make up effects either. It's amateur hour with this one. But what's more insulting was the constant flashbacks from the original Lost Boys. It's as if the film makers thought they could cover up this turd by showing footage from the original film, as if they could make this dreck better. I never thought I would say that Joel Schumacher is a much better film maker.

At just 77 minutes, this film is still a waste of your time. The original The Lost Boys isn't a great film but it is entertaining and a lot of fun. These direct to DVD sequels are just made to support Corey Feldman's bills and are about as much fun as going to the dentist with a mouthful of cavities.
