Could forty songs be this darn good? Why yes they can. Just released is a superb two CD disc set of Pat Benatar's finest moments. Some thirty years ago Benatar started her string of hits and this ultimate collection grabs the best of them. Throw on the CD and rock out to classics like Heartbreaker,Shadows of the Night, Sex as a Weapon, and one of her biggest hits Love is a Battlefield. Hear some of the best guitar work by guitarist/producer and her hubby Neil Giraldo in We Live for Love, Anxiety (Get Nervous), and All Fired Up. Still today, these songs stand out as some of the best in-your-face, solid rock songs by a female rock artist. Not many can match or hold ground to her intense and commanding vocals. But you have to look at the songs also. These are not songs that you like for a day and then you move on. These are songs that have contagious hooks, timeless grooves, and are simply dynamic. A must for any Benatar fan or anyone who loves good, solid rock-n-roll.
