Forgetting Sarah Marshall

by James Harper

If you are seeking a good date movie to take your other half to (or your other third or other fourth depending on what type of relationships you are into, or hell just go by yourself), then you have found it. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is about Peter (who is played by Jason Segel who also wrote the movie) who loses his girlfriend of five years. Sarah is played by Kristen Bell (also seen in "Gossip Girl" and "Heroes"). The various posters actually do a pretty good job of capturing the feel of the movie. It starts off with Peter looking lovingly at his and Sarah's little pictures that they have taken together over the last couple of years, and not five minutes later she comes in and dumps him. To get over his grief Peter decides to go Hawaii, when guess who shows up. Do you need me to tell you? I bet you guessed correctly (do I sound like Mr. Rogers?), Sarah and her new beau, the rock star Aldous Snow, played to perfection, absolute perfection by Russell Brand. Peter's new love interest, who he meets at the hotel in Hawaii, is played by Mila Kunis. She starred as Jackie in "That 70s Show". Mila more than holds her own in this movie, and brings a little backbone to the plot, where everybody else is somewhat dysfunctional, her character is a bit of a smart ass.
