The John Entwistle Foundation Benefit Concert at the House of Blues Chicago

Brian Johnson of ACDCOn July 10, 2007, The John Entwistle Foundation held the Classic Rock Care show in Chicago at the House of Blues with Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams of AC/DC, Joe Turner of Deep Purple/Rainbow and members of The John Entwistle Band. Classic Rock Care show is part of the John Entwistle Foundation in which the proceeds from the tour will go to the foundation's primary mission of free music education and instruments for underprivileged children through the public library system. The show opened with Joe Lynn Turner performing Deep Purple and Rainbow classic hits such as Smoke on the Water, Hush and Highway Star. During his set a big surprise guest appeared, Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, Zander performed three songs. After a break the headlining act consisting of Brian Johnson, Cliff Williams and The John Entwistle Band took the stage. They did everything from AC/DC to a few new songs which possible may appear on the long awaited new AC/DC disc. The set started with a new song which Brian Johnson hours before called Blood Alley.

After the show fans paid $100 each to for an exclusive meet and greet with the performers. All of the proceeds again went to toward the John Entwistle Foundation. To summarize, the show was great. It was just like going to an AC/DC concert minus some of the AC/DC crew.
