Press Release

Hailing from the colorful and music inspired streets of Minneapolis, Minnesota comes the unique blend of Metal/Rock/Industrial that is Gabriel And The Apocalypse. The band delivers a fierce yet beautiful array of female fronted aggression that will give their predecessors a run for their money.

The brainchild of vocalist Lindy Gabriel, Gabriel and the Apocalypse independently put out 2 releases which were backed by numerous national support tours around the United States. Their intense and and professional style videos also paved the way for the group to become an underground sensation.

It was this self-produced success that led GATA to ink a deal with Pavement Entertainment to which they immediately began work on their new album "The Ghost Parade". This new release (available October 7, 2016) is sure to propel the band to new heights with major worldwide distribution and exposure. To kick off the album's release GATA will tour with horror rock favorite Wednesday 13 throughout the month of October. The group plans on a heavy and extensive touring cycle to follow.

According to Lindy, "The Ghost Parade" is a concept record that brings you on a music roller coaster ride. From in your face songs like "March of the Dolls" to stripped down emotional songs like" Behind the Sun", this record still maintains a taste of the usual GATA anthems on politics and world issues but as a whole it is more personal.  I feel as a writer and lyricist it is more abstract & poetic. I feel more exposed and vulnerable. It's honest. It flows and twists through different waves and moods from beginning to end.

Creative, Original, Visual, Artistic, Strong……the definition of GABRIEL AND THE APOCALYPSE

Album Review By;  Coren E. McLeod

Women that have balls especially in the dog eat dog world of music makes for a stronger presence in the industry.  Gabriel And The Apocalypse will be putting out a genuine, fine tune album called The Ghost Parade due Friday October 7th, 2016.  The band hails from the city of Minneapolis and goes beyond the typical stereotype of the Midwestern’s.

This album consists of heavy self-proclaim songs that will touch a nerve with many out there.  The gut wrenching chords along with oppressive provoked vocals could make the strongest of men want to hug the person next to them.  Yet, Gabriel and The Apocalypse still has an edge to them that almost reminds me of a love child born between Otep and alternative favorite Pj Harvey.

The mesmerizing album is laced with addicting, hard hitting melodies and a sound that is all GATA.  The self-titled song, “The Ghost Parade” will haunt you at night with staggering story telling behind the chilling lyrics.  I love the daunting almost tribal beats of the drums played throughout the entire song.

Track #6 “Beauty Under Glass” literally had me at the very first note that was plucked.  I love this track.  I love it so much my ears were practically bleeding with intensity.  “Beauty Under Glass” took one of my favorite genera’s of music and made it alive again.  And in case you were wondering, I love the industrial sound GATA brings.  It can be reminiscent of KMDFM meets NIN at a club and the two head bang the night away.  #JustSaying

“Behind The Sun” takes a different turn and delivers an angelic side to the band.  This track slows down to a point of almost bringing on a meaningful tear streaming down one’s face.  I love hearing how GATA can bring a different aspect to their tough exterior and have their fans make a connection on another level.

Overall, this is the kind of music I want to hear more often.  A little emotion, a little guts and all ROCK!!!!  GATA will be on tour starting this Friday, October 7,2016 in Madison, WI.  I may have to get my ass out to The Red Zone to see this wonderful band live in person….  Who will be coming with me????

#Cheers
