The Bucks County Massacre on DVD!

Hey, it's press release time again!  This time it's a found footage film about some kids in the woods.  Well, I'll let the release explain:

If the Blair Witch had a baby with the demon from Paranormal Activity and the honeymoon took place at Cloverfield, The Bucks County Massacre would be born. At least that's what people are saying about the new "Found Footage" style feature film that just released today. Every so often a new movie comes out that changes a genre. Star Wars did it for Sci-fi, Superman did it for Fantasy, Harry Potter did it for Magic, and The Bucks County Massacre is doing it for Found Footage.

What starts off as a fun-filled birthday party amongst a group of close friends in their twenties ends up becoming a horribly long night of terror and death. What you take away from BCM that differs from most found footage movies is that you truly feel bad for the characters. You get emotionally invested in them since you get to know them so well. The stories (and jokes) they tell, as well as the romance and friendship between them is difficult to see shattered as a vampire-like monster starts picking them off one by one.

Most found footage movies are a bit boring and don't show any monsters (especially Paranormal Activity and the Blair Witch project). This is where The Bucks County Massacre changes things up a bit. With the birthday party, and a multitude of characters, things are more interesting while you are waiting for bad things to happen. And once the first victim goes missing, the tension and suspenseful feeling of terror in your stomach will never go away. The fact that you get to see the creature that is killing our new found friends is truly remarkable. At one point, there is a scene that shows the innards of the unfortunate boyfriend of the girl who first goes missing. There are plenty of guns flailing about, arguments, fights, and above all - bloody deaths.

This is a film not to be missed if you are a fan of the found footage genre, and it is available at all major retailers.
