Review by Craig Sorensen

There’s something that I love about a film that begins with a picture of someone’s ass. Or I guess maybe I should say want to love. This film is a mess, but at times it’s an enjoyable one.

It starts off well enough with some stylish opening credits. A picture of a woman’s butt is superimposed over some horse races while the credits roll. It’s an strange credit sequence and put me in the mood for some odd, mod & Swedish comedy. We first meet Ollie (played by Âke Fridell) who is obviously drunk. He’s picked up by his son Paul (Kent-Arne Dahlgren), who happens to be working as a cab driver. They obviously have a strained relationship as Ollie doesn’t seem to recognize his son at first. Paul drives his father back to his apartment to sleep off his intoxication and of course Paul’s girlfriend Marianne (Solveig Andersson) just happens to be wandering around completely nude.

Later that night Marianne and Paul go to a party and meet Marianne’s sister Beryl (Gunilla Larsson). At the party they view a generically pretentious art film starring Beryl, who later gets depressingly drunk because she thinks she was terrible in it. Marianne walks in on Paul fucking some other woman and then there is some dancing and Paul, Marianne and Beryl all go home.
At this point the movie shifts to focus on Beryl and her misadventures. She runs into her friend Eva (Christina Lindberg) and they go to a photographer’s studio to have nudie pictures taken. Then she gets picked up by a bald guy who locks her up and tries to whip her. She escapes and steals a fur coat that has dope sown into the lining for some reason. Of course some gangsters then show up looking for said coat. And then the movie gets really crazy and ends with the girls doing a dance at gunpoint.
