When Mitch (Luke Wilson) returns home early from a business trip, he finds his wife Heidi (Juliette Lewis), about to engage in a ménage à trois with two blindfolded strangers. Mitch decides that he should get a new place to live and rents a house on the local college campus. Two of Mitch's old college buddies, Beanie (Vince Vaughn) and Frank (Will Ferrell) decide that they should throw a party that becomes the biggest party of the year on campus with a special performance by Snoop Dogg. Beanie takes it upon himself to recruit pledges and turn Mitch's place into a frat house. Mitch becomes referred to as "The Godfather" and becomes a local celebrity to men of all ages. With the fun and madness going on at the house, dean Pritchard (Jeremy Piven) becomes angry and tries to do everything in his power to close the frat house down during which the laughs and hilarity ensues.
