Chris Rob is a 24 year old singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and performer. A Chicago native, Chris' musical career began at the tender age of 4. He began playing piano, later moving on to drums, guitar, and bass; not hard to imagine coming from a family of musicians. His studies began with his parents. His father was also a multi-instrumentalist and mother, a classically trained pianist and music director.

Growing up, Chris continued to excel with his musical talent. He performed with the Chicago public school's All-City High School Jazz Band, won the 1992 Sony Student Innovator Award, and had the honor of working with pop legend, Barry Manilow. At 16 he furthered his education at the Chicago musical college at Roosevelt University, obtaining a degree in music business.

After college, Chris moved to New York City. He has made some great strides working the New York scene, performing in legendary clubs including Jimmy's Uptown Café in Harlem, Manhattan's S.O.B.'s, Joe's Pub, and the world famous Blue Note. In February, he was the opening act at the pre-Grammy brunch sponsored by attorney Londell McMillan and the Artist Empowerment Coalition. He was also featured on both the ASCAP and BMI showcases in lower Manhattan. Other credits on Chris's resume include: Music Direct for Patti Austin, performing with an array of artists- Stevie Wonder, Prince and the NPG, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Faith Evans, El Debarge, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Slum Village and Jill Scott. He recently recorded a commercial for the ABC Family Channel's holiday season, and is continuously recording music.

As a solo performer, Chris is ready to take the world by storm. With his signature sound dubbed “pop soul”, a blend of classical, jazz, soul, and a touch of hip-hop, Chris's mission is to “bring some peace of mind and unity” to his listeners while they ride to his grooves. Currently, Chris is appearing at concert venues and clubs throughout the Unites States, and finishing his debut full length LP to be released through New Day Entertainment. He shot the video for his first single, “Dirty Movie” in South Beach Miami. So, keep an eye open for this hot single, recordings with DJ Anthony Nicholson on the Clair Audience label, work with DJ Spinna, and the even hotter multi talented artist behind so much of the music we have come to love.
