Oakland, CA. July 01, 2015 - The inaugural Bay Area Vibez music festival officially announces its 3-stage, 2-day music, arts and urban lifestyle festival being held at Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland, California on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, with more than 25 artists to represent the line-up. The festival was created in celebration of music, art, diversity and the rich culture that mirrors the Bay Area and its unique characteristics. Tickets go on sale on July 15, at 10:00am.

Founders of Tourn Entertainment have nailed a festival vibe by embracing the essence and diverse culture of the Bay Area through a stellar genre-bending blend of national, regional and local touring acts, great eats, local artists, and the many regional flavors of craft brews and wines, for a full-body festival and musical delight for leading hipster communities that embody the Bay Area.

The first round of artists to be released are Grammy©winning artist, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Nas, who has a #1 album on American Billboard top 200, eight time Grammy© winning artist/producer, Stephen "Ragga" Marley, Grammy© nominated Meshell Ndegeocello, #1 Billboard reggae performer Morgan Heritage, Tarrus Riley, Jo Mersa; son of Stephen Marley, Fiji, Fishbone, Krooked Treez, Richie Spice, I-Wayne, Queen Omega, Ghetto Youths, The Courtney John Project, Black Am-I and the Oakland based fan-favorite band, Forrest Day,  along with a few big surprises. The complete lineup will be announced on July 15, the same day that tickets go on sale. The lineup will embody a melting pot of diverse talent that will emulate the Bay Area vibe.

"Our brand and lineup represent the collection of demographics, various cultures and interests of the Bay Area. We are producing an authentic urban lifestyle festival, which is reflective of the area. To have two of Bob Marley's sons, Damian and Stephen perform at our inaugural festival is significant to our goal. We also have hip-hop artist Nas as one of our headliners and will be securing some nostalgic EDM artists. The eclectic mix is what constitutes the urban festival and represents the very nature of the Bay Area," says festival coordinator, Yurel Hassan Cooke. "The location is impeccable for an annual festival. With other surrounding fest locations as California Roots, Outside Lands, Reggae on the River and Treasure Island, the Bay Area Vibez seemed to fill a void on the map, and blending the genres for the Bay Area just felt right."

The water-lined breathtaking views of the city of San Francisco and the Bay Bridge have made  Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland the perfect backdrop for this urban lifestyle festival. The festival resides at the same awe-inspiring location that Mumford and Sons performed for their Railroad Revival Tour, along with Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros.

Some additional features of the festival are a silent disco; lead by numerous respected DJ's, on-stage live art, VIP experience availability, local artisans, authentic eats reflective of the area, as well as regional craft brew and wine gardens.  The founders look forward to boosting the local economy, while benefiting various youth music charities throughout the Bay Area.

"Keeping the music alive for the next generations is key. Collectively, we need to support the creative flow of our children and open their eyes to a new world filled with creativity and a universal appreciation for diversity," says festival co-founders, an Oakland native; Tressa Wells, along with tour manager to Damian Marley, Albert "Pretty" Cooke.
