PRESS QUOTES
“The group’s hazy brand of dream-pop, perfectly suited to the long, humid evenings of the current summer months, are a heady injection of flowery, hallucinogenic guitar lines and breezy, kaleidoscopic synth sounds.” - Gold Flake Paint

"...a slice of celestial pop drama with twinkling guitars…" - Lo-Pie

"The songs gain strength live and seem even more potent. They provoke an encounter of the sweetness of Twee Pop/Dream Pop with the noise of the shyness of shoegaze" - Monkeybuzz (Brazil)

BIOGRAPHY
Winter is a breezy dose of sultry shoegaze and drippy dream-pop whose sound was conceived in Boston. Beginning as a collaborative effort between Samira Winter and Nolan Eley, their first recordings culminated to the 2012 EP entitled Daydreaming. Following the release, their relocation to Los Angeles brought on the recruit of additional members with the intention of performing live. Brushing shoulders on bills with L.A. contemporaries like Thee Oh Sees, Bleached and Ought, the group settled into the California scene while honing their brand of ethereal vocals layered over melodic guitars.

The now-settled quartet are gearing up to release their first full-length album in cahoots with Los Angeles’ Lolipop Records. The album – made from a coast-to-coast correspondence – features yet again a creative collaboration with Samira Winter (LA) and Nolan Eley (NY). The aptly titled Supreme Blue Dream floats on with a youthful sense of nostalgia and romanticized segues into adulthood. Touching on not one, but two languages (English and Portuguese) with the song “Expectations/Exigências,” this bi-lingual group of dreamers do their part to lay us down softly while keeping their listeners eager for each tune.

With Samira Winter at the helm, the live band features the talents of Matt Hogan (guitar), Edward Breckenridge (bass), and Christina Gaillard (drums) with samples from the original tracks.- Read the full story at UnRatedMagazine.com
