The Ultimate MixPerience
@ Del Mar (San Diego) CA

If you live in San Diego or are willing to travel and love music, the countdown to the start of Kaaboo festival is just a few days away, so get your tickets for San Diego's own Kaaboo fast. It starts on Friday the 16th of September (VIP-Amplify members get a Thursday preview of Chris Isaak and Macy Gray). The VIP tickets are called Hang Five and Hang 10. With these you get the extra day VIP shows and amenities. Unfortunately, (fortunately for Kaaboo) the Hang 10 level is sold out and Hang Five has a limited number of Friday/Sunday passes left. The regular tickets are the Hang Loose passes and are still available. You can purchase by day or all three days.

Kaaboo is much more than a music festival and is in it's second year of it's annual fest. They have a fantastic line up of major and minor music acts, chefs, artist, comedians and spas. Kaaboo is in Del Mar (San Diego) CA, at the Del Mar Racetrack grounds. The same venue used by the San Diego County Fair. The great thing I like about this is that there isn't a bunch of mud and dust to walk through (except in the dusty outer parking lots). After that it's all cement and tar. With plenty of places to sit and lots of shady area's.

I've been to the San Diego County Fair and know it's set up but, this will be my first “mixperience” with Kaaboo. Looking forward to it, immensely. My expectations of the event is all positive. I'm not just looking forward to the music but also to the food, comedians, art and spas, I may need the latter to get a foot massage after all that walking as I have a back to back schedule of things to see and do. My own doing.

This festival won't have the usual fair of hot dogs and hamburgers but real artisan cuisine. Real chefs making fancy plates of delicious art. Top local restaurants and chefs, exclusive wineries, craft distilleries, craft beers, a rock 'n' chef competition with celebrity chefs...and so much more.

Then there are the artist making and selling their art. I can't wait to see what visual masterpieces I find there. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane's paintings.

After all the foot and back massages, food and drink, music and art you can top off and wind down a night with a comedic show. If you want to keep going after the concerts end you can dance 'till you drop at Kaaboo's Encore late night dance party from 10 PM to 2:30 AM. There are so many things to do it'll make your head spin. Check out Kaaboo's site for more information on activities and what you can and can't bring, find out their Facebook and Twitter pages and more.

A must have is the Kaaboo app available in the App Store and Google Play. Don't forget to download this handy dandy tool. This will allow you to see the schedule of times and customize your own schedule of what you want to see and check out and share with friends, social media and more.

And those fantastic musical acts I mentioned earlier...here are but a small handful of some, Aerosmith, Jimmy Buffet, Lenny Kravitz, Jack Johnson, Fall Out Boy, Daryl Hall and John Oates, The Chainsmokers, DJ Snoopadelic, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Gaven Degraw, Ludacris, Cypress Hill, Cold War Kids, Echosmith, Orianthi, Steel Pulse, the list goes on and on.

Check out the Kaaboo site for the Comedian lineup like Dana Carvey and Cheech and Chong or any other lineup of chefs, music, spas, artist and so on.
