Today, Elliphant threw us another impressive sonic curveball with her mind-melting, genre-bending banger “Club Now Skunk.”

The new single – out today on all digital platforms – is accompanied by an equally tripped out official video and features hip hop/bounce diva Big Freedia.

Directed by Swedish filmmaker Johan Holm and styled by Stina Persson -- who collaborated with Elliphant to make unique custom pieces especially for the video – and together, they’ve created a spectacular out-of-this-world, 8-bit, VHS warped universe.

“I hunted the ‘Queen’ down in DC!” says Elliphant on how this collaboration came to be. “By far the most top notch and coolest collaboration I could ever dream of! I waited by the merchandise stall like a real groupie. Freedia responded warmly and said ‘I’ll look out for you girl!” Three weeks later, the seed I planted that night popped in a studio in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles and that is where we made 'Club Now Skunk'!!!”

“Club Now Skunk” was produced by Carli Löf and Tommy Tysper and is taken from Elliphant’s forthcoming debut album “Living Life Golden.” (Kemosabe/Record Company TEN)

To this day, Elliphant has remained one of the most intriguing artists of the past decade. Since entering the musical arena in 2012, the Swedish singer-songwriter has gone onto release 2 critically acclaimed EP’s in the U.S, and has continued to defy expectations, push the envelope and keep people guessing with every piece of audio or visual offering she unleashes into the world.

Already Elliphant has amassed an impressive 40.4 million+ Spotify Plays, 28 million+ video plays, and an incredible 55k+ Shazam tags, clearly indicating that Elliphant is a force to be reckoned with and not one that is going to go away anytime soon.

She has worked with some of the world’s biggest producers, from Grammy Award nominees and winners Skrillex, Dr. Luke, Diplo, Major Lazer and Joel Little (the man responsible for producing Lorde’s critically acclaimed debut album). Her diversity and courage to do what she wants musically is what makes her so appealing.

Currently Elliphant is on a European tour with Major Lazer and will be returning to North America later this year.
