Tunica, MS -- 3 Doors Down will stage the 12th annual The Better Life Foundation concert on Saturday, December 5th at Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Mississippi.  The long-term mission of the foundation is to make a positive change in the lives of children in need of food, shelter, and medical assistance, and to enhance the lives of children and young adults with special needs.  Funds raised are distributed to organizations and hospitals that fulfill the band's mission to enable children to develop their potential, achieve their goals, and become caring and responsible adults.  Operating with the mission statement, "Changing the World, One Life at a Time," 3 Doors Down has committed their energies over the past decade to make a tangible contribution for those in need through this annual event, and continuous efforts to generate funding to support these goals. 
 
The event is sponsored by Paul Benton. Guests 18 years and under may attend the event with someone 21 years or older, with Premier Balcony general admission seated tickets at $150 (which includes hors d'oeuvres and open bar), while general admission standing floor tickets are $50. Once again the annual “Ride For A Cause” motorcycle ride will take place on December 5th at 11:30 a.m. and will originate from Southern Thunder Harley Davidson in Southaven, MS.  Last year, over 400 motorcycles participated.  Also taking place will be a raffle for a one of a kind 2015 CITIZEN SOLDIER VIII ~ HARLEY-DAVIDSON Custom Road Glide (valued at over $35,000) which is currently on display in the Horseshoe Tunica hotel lobby. For a $10 donation to the charity, fans receive one raffle ticket for the drawing to win.  The ticket holder does not have to be present at the event to win. A silent auction will also take place in the hotel lobby on December 5th from 2 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. The auction will feature memorabilia from a wide range of musical artists and notable sports figures.

ABOUT JAMEY JOHNSON:
Alabama native and former marine Jamey Johnson rose to the top of the Nashville food chain through blood, sweat and tears.  In April 2005, Johnson signed a recording agreement with BNA, and then released his debut The Dollar in January, 2006. Following the dissolution of that relationship and his marriage, he took a year off and returned with The Lonesome Song in August, 2008.  The lead single “In Color” reached number nine on the Billboard Country chart and was followed by “The High Cost of Living” delivering a RIAA certified gold album.
