March 17, 2015, ATLANTA – Royal Thunder, who play SXSW today (12 midnight at Dirty Dog), reveal a new song, “Glow,” from their forthcoming album, Crooked Doors (April 7, Relapse Records) via Entertainment Weekly: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/03/16/royal-thunder-makes-hard-rock-go-pop-their-new-single-glow-exclusive-8.

Late last week the Atlanta quartet premiered the first in a series of webisodes documenting the making of the eleven-song album, which the Austin Chronicle awarded four stars to in their pre-SXSW coverage: https://youtu.be/VKL_3u4-Xq4.

The band has shared two additional, new songs from their sophomore album: “Time Machine” (https://soundcloud.com/relapserecords/royal-thunder-time-machine) and “Forget You” (https://soundcloud.com/relapserecords/royal-thunder-forget-you/s-JHKg9). Paste Magazine said “Forget You” takes “the atmospheric elements of their music even further. It’s a song that has a heady blend of the sludgy blues stomp that garnered them widespread attention and even heavier, darker elements than before.”  Metal Injection called “Time Machine” “seven minutes of rock godliness.”
